Linda Brooks

Linda has worked in youth policy and programmes for over seven years. She is currently taking forward the Aiming high commitment to address barriers for young people wishing to access positive activities. This includes transport and provision of accessible information.

She was involved in the set up of myplace, the youth capital investment programme delivered on behalf of the DCSF by Big Lottery; the development and delivery of the Youth Opportunity Fund and the Youth Capital Fund and; Managed PAYP and the Neighbourhood Support Fund programme.

Prior to this she worked on disability policy and programmes and had extensive experience in the field of employment as an outreach worker through to policy manager.

Her abiding interest is engaging and empowering young people and giving them a role in developing services and activities designed for them as part of their transition from adolescence to adulthood and to enable them to contribute to their wider community.

Linda has also been a lay Magistrate for 13 years.
